Servicing the local community by way of supporting larger organizations such as:
Camp Care, Livingston Parish Chapter
Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge and their program, Camp Care. is a fun and supportive camp provides a safe place for children with cancer and their siblings to be active and connect with others. By offering a space for physical activity, creative expression, and social interaction, Camp Care directly contributes to brain health, supporting the cognitive and emotional well-being of our community's most vulnerable members.
We host several annual holiday parties for the residents of the Livingston Activity Center. We bring party supplies and have a good time with them for holidays such as Valentine's Day, Cinco de Mayo or Halloween.
We provide fans to seniors in need, a simple but vital act that directly supports our mission. For older adults, especially those with brain-related conditions, extreme heat can be very dangerous. It can lead to heatstroke, which can cause severe and lasting brain damage. By donating fans, we help keep our seniors cool and safe, protecting their cognitive health and ensuring their well-being. This project is a powerful example of our commitment to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community and raising awareness about the importance of brain health for all ages.

Support for Walker Little League Challenger Division
The Pilot Club of Denham Springs is a proud supporter of the Walker Little League Challenger Division, a wonderful program that promotes our core values of brain health and inclusion. The Challenger program is a special, non-competitive baseball league for kids with physical and intellectual challenges. It provides a safe and fun environment where every player gets to participate and feel like a star, supported by "buddies" on the field. This promotes brain health through physical activity and social engagement while creating a truly inclusive community where everyone belongs.
The Pilot Club was key to helping the program get started. We secured a $1,000 matching grant that was used to purchase essential equipment including helmets, protective gear, balls, bats, tees, bases and gloves to meet the needs of a wide range of sizes and abilities., ensuring the team had the tools it needed to play safely. It's a joy to be part of a program that makes such a positive and lasting difference for children and families in our community. There is a dedicated Challenger Field in Sydney Hutchinson Park in Walker where these inclusive baseball games take place.Â
